Mochi Beginner Guide

Everything in Mochi starts with spending time together. This guide walks through the loop from your first launch.

Quick answer

Launch Mochi, keep it on your desktop, and let time pass. The companion stays nearby while you work, study, browse or play. Time together builds your Bond — and your Bond unlocks rewards: Bond Coins, daily capsules, and better rewards as it grows. Meanwhile you can decorate a room and collect stickers.

The core loop

  1. Start Mochi and keep it on your desktop during work or study.
  2. Use the focus timer when you want structured sessions.
  3. Watch your Bond grow — more time together means better rewards over time.
  4. Collect Bond Coins and open daily capsules as you progress.
  5. Collect Stickers and fuse duplicates to raise their tiers.
  6. Decorate your room with furniture and decorations; publish it for other players.

Room Battle — new in the September 6 update

Mochi's first major update on September 6, 2026 added Room Battle, a new mode where you build a battle room with items and upgrades, then face rival rooms in automatic battles. The classic collection loop above still works exactly the same — Room Battle is an extra mode, not a replacement: you keep collecting stickers, growing your Bond and decorating your room, and can play Room Battle runs alongside.

  • Access Room Battle from the game after the update — see the Room Battle Guide for the full overview.
  • Buy battle items and place them on the Hex board (drag-and-drop, group movement and Storage are confirmed).
  • Choose Passives and Ascensions during a run; every run can develop differently.
  • Face rival rooms — you may meet BOTs while the community is small.
  • Watch battles in real time and use the battle log to review what happened.
