What is Mochi?
Mochi is the free-to-play desktop companion game by Levir Studio on Steam. A cozy companion that lives on your desktop while you work, study, browse or play other games. Time spent together becomes part of your collection: you decorate a cozy room, grow a Bond with Mochi, earn Bond Coins and daily capsules, collect and fuse Stickers, gather Steam Inventory collectibles, and share your room with other players.
Mochi is not related to Mochi Jump, any Mochi food or dessert product, or the many other unrelated apps and games that share the name Mochi — it is a single Steam game by Levir Studio (Steam App ID 4957510).

The core loop
Everything in Mochi circles back to spending time together. The official loop works like this:
- Keep Mochi on your desktop while you work or study — the companion tracks the time you spend together.
- Time together grows your Bond, which unlocks better rewards over time.
- Earn Bond Coins and open daily capsules as your Bond progresses.
- Collect Stickers; fuse duplicates to raise their tiers and equip passive bonuses.
- Hundreds of furniture and decoration items let you build and publish your own cozy room, and visit other players' rooms.
- Some items are Steam Inventory collectibles — eligible ones can be traded on the Steam Community Market.
Room Battle — new mode
Mochi's first major update on September 6, 2026 added Room Battle: build a battle room with items and upgrades, then face rival rooms in automatic battles. The collection loop above still works the same — Room Battle is an extra mode that runs alongside it.
The Room Battle loop: buy items in the Shop → place them on the Hex board → choose Passives and Ascensions → face rival rooms → use the battle log to improve your build. See the Room Battle Guide to get started.
